Problem in my area was that as soon as a so called "approved" job was created then the market was flooded so that the supply exceeded the demand. result - prices go down. JW's for the most part lack the basic skills to run a business for themselves. It was funny to watch one window washer/floor polisher out bid the other and foster a greedy competative spirit that often resulted in low quality work. So how does that show it has God's blessing?

Window-washer is the cover of Feb 2015 WT, "How to enjoy your work!" Hahaha!!
by EndofMysteries in.
after all the jokes and satire on this website about jw's only being able to amount to window washers and house cleaners, the cover page of "how to enjoy your work" showing a window washer and cleaner in the back ground.
i almost wonder if some awakened, still-in, from this site is part of the writing department or illustrations and put that in there as an inside joke for us?.

What Made You Finally Wake Up?
by Tenacious inhello to all.
i've been on this site for a couple of weeks now posting here and there but have not had the opportunity to read about many of the regular members and what led up to their leaving the wt.. i understand that some of you (i'm part of this club) may not be able to disclose many details and i can appreciate that.. i'd love to hear what was it that finally made you renounce what is and hopefully soon to be "was" the wt.. i truly look forward to having good discussions.. thank you to all for your kind participation.. .

Health risk...seriously, I was 60lbs (2011) overweight with a bad habit of using food as a medication. I had two major ulcers and cardio problems. I could not handle the stress of having to please everyone, deal with being an elder, petty jealousies and that witnesses are the amongst the few in creation that "eat" their weak. So I just ate to comfort myself. Gods laws are not burdensome but JW's laws are - to the tune of 60lbs in my case which I have shed.

What will the next "witness" fad illness be??
by stuckinarut2 inas we know, it seems that many witnesses "suffer" from "illnesses" at times.. now , before anyone scolds me for being insensitive or unfeeling, i am not mocking those who really suffer from illnesses of any sort.
i am having a go at those that jump on the bandwagon of the popular illness, which actually makes real sufferers feel jaded.. i am referring to the way that many witnesses who are actually damaged as a result of the constant "fear.obsession.guilt" of jw propaganda, often seem to "contract the current illness going around", or blame it on that instead of looking at the real cause.. im sure it is a subconcious result of the burdensome pressure of jw life that brings it on.
instead of seeing the draining effect on their lives as being the result of witness life, they will latch on to the next illness going around.. so, what is the latest going to be?.

Anything that can be pegged on an Autoimmune Response.....Swollen toungues (can't talk), swollen painful legs (can't man a *.org trolley cart), lower back pain (Can't sit at a meeting), etc. Makes it damn hard for those who sadly do suffer with the outcomes of one or more autoimmune responses.
On another note I had no patience for fake illnesses that were clearly fake. There was one sister of an elder who refused to come to the KH because of the chemicals used, hairsprays and deodarants. Yet my wife would bump into her at a local hair salon sitting there getting highlights with no problems whatsoever. I also detested how she would feel obliged to "own" an ailment = "my chemical sensitivity" or "my Fybromyalgia"
I am sure glad I don't have to put up with that crap anymore

Education
by M*A*S*H injust looking on jw.org at an education related topic; http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/g201210/what-parents-can-do/.
be reasonable with regard to how much education to pursue.. as mentioned earlier, education can help prepare your child for responsible adulthood.
(genesis 2:24) but how much schooling does reaching that goal require?.

Typical WTBSpeak: "In some cases.." simply allows them to make unsupported claims as if they are fact. The stats are clear - earning power (and lets face it the GenX and Millennals will need a lot more in retirement than boomers) is more and the risk of unemployment less.
The WTBS has no authrority - divine, scriptural, ethical or morally to even remotely comment on what someone should or should not do to support themselves first, then a family (if they choose) and by extension the strong likelyhood of looking after their parents in 30 - 35 years for the dumbass decisions their parents made as 'dubs to build a career as a night stocker at WallMart while waiting for the "end'. This will come back to haunt the WTBS - might be happening already with the early boomers in retirement who have no means of support beyond basic government offered pensions - if they have that.
The education stance was in part a significant reason for both my departure and my family. It makes me cringe at their audacity to stick their snotty noses where it does not belong. Over the years I saw countless bright kids give up opportunities to go to university on scholarships and end up depressed and in some cases eventually leave the *.org.

Was droping bomb on Hiroshima in 1945 evil?
by new hope and happiness insorry for such a depressing question, but i was moved by a picture i saw of the consequences.
( a woman carrying her child) and i realised:-.
a) it was a civillian population.. b) i don't see how a nuclear holocaust can ever be right.. c) they could have bombed tokyo where all the generals lived but chose hiroshima.. d) the irony after the bombing america conceeded to many of japans terms.. your opinion would be valued..

1) Wilson joined WW1 because he was told that he would be left out of post war discussions that would lead to the League of Nations
2) FDR and some US policy wonks wanted to join the war in '39 - by turing the oil tap off on japan they goaded them (left them no option) to attack Pearl Harbour

I still don't understand why they are now standing around with a stupid table looking like mannequins when it was once frowned upon.
Does anyone have a pic of the JW.ORG lapel pin?

Assuming they invested the $800 Million in sales over the last 10 years at a measely 3% per annum it must now have grown to about $950 Million. The wad of cash grows at about $27 million a year - how about writing the following:
" I will donate $3.85 as my share of the $27 million generated in interest on sold NY properties per year"
Dubs love "$$ per publisher" shit....
